1. REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE CREDIT

In order to receive continuing education credit, participants are required to:

  1. Attend the course in its entirety, and

  2. Have an updated version of Zoom downloaded on their device prior to the start of the workshop.

A Note on Full Attendance

Participants who arrive late or who leave the course for an extended amount of time will not be eligible to receive CE credit.

If you are running late or know that you will need to leave part of the course, please email me at caroline@cpariscounseling.com to transfer your registration to another course date.

Please note that attendance is monitored multiple times throughout the course. If you do not respond to an attendance prompt, I will reach out to you individually. If I do not hear back from you, I will assume something came up and will offer to move your registration to a future course date.

A Note on Zoom

Participants must have an up-to-date version of Zoom downloaded on their device prior to the start of the workshop. Without an updated version of Zoom, you may not be able to join the course.

If you are concerned about technology, I encourage you to sign in 30 minutes early so that you have plenty of time to address any technical issues before the workshop begins. Zoom access begins at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. The course begins promptly at 9:30 AM.

2. ZOOM LINK & COURSE MATERIALS

The Zoom link and course materials are emailed the day before your scheduled workshop.

If you have not received them by 6:00 PM Eastern Time the day before your course, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find them, please email me at caroline@cpariscounseling.com.

If you registered the day before or the morning of the course, you will receive the Zoom link and course materials by 8:30 AM Eastern Time on the morning of the workshop.

If you have not received them by then, please check your spam or junk folder before emailing me.

3. CAMERAS, MICROPHONES & PARTICIPATION

Cameras

Cameras are not required. Many participants choose to keep their cameras on because it creates a more interactive learning experience, but you are not required to do so.

Microphones

For most of the workshop, participants will remain muted.

You will be invited to unmute during the three small-group breakout discussions.

Participation

This workshop includes opportunities to interact with other participants throughout the day. You will be invited to contribute in the chat, participate in four small-group breakout discussions, and reflect on case examples and ethical dilemmas.

Many participants have shared that the conversations with other clinicians were one of the highlights of the day. I hope you'll join in, but you're welcome to engage at the level that feels comfortable to you while remaining present for the training. Please note: even if you choose to refrain from sharing, you are required to attend the breakout room you are assigned to.

4. RUNNING LATE

Participants who join after the workshop begins will not be eligible to receive CE credit.

If you know you will be late, please email caroline@cpariscounseling.com to transfer your registration to another course date.

7. TECHNICAL ISSUES

If you are concerned about technology, please sign in 30 minutes early so that you have plenty of time to address any issues that may arise.

If you're having trouble joining the workshop, try the following:

  • Make sure Zoom is fully updated.

  • Sign out of Zoom and sign back in.

  • Restart your device.

  • If needed, uninstall and reinstall Zoom.

  • Try entering the Meeting ID and Passcode manually rather than clicking the link.

Technical support is available from 9:00–9:35 AM Eastern Time on the morning of the workshop. If you experience technical difficulties during this time, please email caroline@cpariscounseling.com.

While most people who face technical issues experience them at the start of the course, they occasionally happen later in the day. If you experience technical difficulties (or temporarily lose power) after 9:35 AM, technical support will not be available, but you can try to troubleshoot on your own using the steps above. Please email caroline@cpariscounseling.com as soon as possible to let me know you're working on reconnecting.

As with late arrivals, participants who are disconnected for a substantial amount of time will unfortunately not be eligible to receive CE credit, so please reconnect as quickly as you can.

8. ACCESSIBILITY

If you have accessibility needs or require accommodations to fully participate, please email me at caroline@cpariscounseling.com or call me at 404.382.7010 before your workshop. I want these trainings to be accessible and welcoming to all participants.

9. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION

A confirmation email is sent immediately after registration. Occasionally, these emails are filtered into spam or junk folders.

If you did not receive your confirmation email, please first check your spam or junk folder. If it is still missing, please email me at caroline@cpariscounseling.com, and I'll be happy to resend it.

10. REDUCED REGISTRATION RATE

A discounted registration rate is available for Associate Professional Counselors (APCs) and other pre-licensure clinicians who are experiencing financial hardship.

This is self-attested—no documentation is required.

Please email me at caroline@cpariscounseling.com before registering to request the reduced rate.

11. REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

If you cancel more than seven days before your workshop, you'll receive a refund minus the non-refundable credit card processing fee charged at registration. Refunds are processed within 10 business days.

If you cancel within seven days of the workshop, refunds are not available. However, you may transfer your registration to another workshop date.

If you are unable to attend or forget to attend your course date, I'll transfer your registration to a future workshop at no additional cost.

To request either a refund or transfer, email me at caroline@cpariscounseling.com.
